I am mostly interested in free sites with kids-oriented content, but also dont not mind to know about paid sites.

Check out EZTV. It is a peer to peer file sharing site that has many tv programs available. Combine that site with a program like Utorrent and you will be able to download just about any tv program.
Evan Plaice : -1 sorry for the downvote but providing links to pirated/illegal content is looked down on this site. I'd point the policy out in the FAQ but it's still under development. From UnkleFrank -
Have you tried hulu? (www.hulu.com) It's only in the States though so if you're not there, then you won't be able to use it.
I like a combination of surfthechannel or if I can't find it there, I look at project free t.v. and barring that, I'll just download it from a torrent site. Sometimes with some pretty popular t.v. shows, you'll find it being streamed from a dedicated site (I'm thinking t.v. shows like futurama and simpsons).

Free- believe it or not, I use youtube as most kid show episodes are pretty short and usually are left out there. Of course Hulu is good too but I sometimes find myself wading through everything to find what I want.
Pay sites - I LOVE netflix. Fast and lots of content for kids, adults, everybody.

Clicker.tv does a good job of colating a lot of content available elsewhere.

Zattoo.com works pretty neat.

Have you tried Miro?
It's a videocast bittorrent client that's used to download legal online video shows. It's what online TV was before Hulu hit the web. It's open source video for the web.
Since you can legally download any of the content present on Miro, you can easily take it with you wherever you don't have an internet connection so you won't be tethered to your computer at home.
Here is a link to the Kids genre so you can see what it has to offer.
